It's been a wonderful tour throughout December and to be on the road with
Chris Parkinson and Maggie Boyle.
Its great to spend one month of the year away from my singer-songwriter gig,
and be part of a band and have a bit of fun.
'The Magical Christmas Tree Tour' has evolved over the last four years. It
started out as a bit of a joke between myself and Roger Wilson when
discussing ideas for a Christmas show. Both of us are convinced to this day
the idea was not their own but the others.. which I now find strange because
it would be something to brag about and argue that they thought of it.
There you go, we are obviously far too honest or modest for the
entertainment world.
Roger joined myself and Chris on the first year of The Magical Christmas
Tree Tour before taking up residence at the
production of 'War Horse' in London. A young talented fiddler from Norfolk
called Tom Moore took over for
most of the second year, but couldn't do all the gigs because he was still
at school!
Since then, Maggie Boyle has made up the trio. A wonderful singer with a
special collection of seasonal songs to give some gravitas to the frivolity
and madness!
We are now on the final leg of the tour, with four dates remaining for 2010.
(see 'Tour Dates' page for
details).
Hope to see you at one of them. If not, maybe next year!
